Membership Application Information
Admission Of New Members
- Focus Bulacan is open to membership application throughout the year, but the club will only formally induct new members twice a year - every January and July. Hence, there will only be two batches of new official members every year. If, for example, you satisfy all membership requirements by May, you cannot be inducted into the membership roll until July.
- Doing the new members' induction in batches will allow the membership committee ample time to review each application. It will also give more time for the club to properly schedule the welcome rites for new members.
Membership Privileges
- Full access to Focus Bulacan's PhotoMeets and activities
- Right to participate and vote in contests (hence opportunity to win prizes)
- Right to participate in Photographer-of-the-Year competition (hence opportunity to win prizes)
- Focus Bulacan membership card and permission to purchase official Focus Bulacan shirt
- Other perks such as shooting access / free entrance to events, workshops, or talks
Application Approval Requirements
- An accomplished Application Form. Kindly fill up the form and email it to [email protected].
- Submission of five (5) photos that the applicant personally took. We require this to gauge the applicant's starting level in photographic skill / composition / style. Email the photos together with the accomplished application form to [email protected].
- Participation in five (5) of the following : a.) Focus Bulacan PhotoMeets, b.) sanctioned activities (such as workshops or special events), or c.) photo contests (a total/combination of five, not five of each one). Every activity's attendance is duly-noted, make sure your presence is acknowledged by a Focus Bulacan officer or member.
- Once approved for membership, payment of annual membership fee. This will be collected at the start of the year (if applicant is approved in January) or middle of the year (if approved in July). If applicant gets inducted in July, membership fee will be prorated to half of the amount (for half of the year). Student members, meanwhile, will pay a discounted amount. Full-year membership fee is Php 750. Half-year membership fee (for new members inducted in July) is Php 375. Membership fee for students is Php 500 for full-year and Php 250 for half-year. Membership fee will be collected every year as long as one is a member .

In other words, here's how to become a Focus Bulacan member :
1.) Download the application form provided in this page (above in Membership Requirements section), fill-up the form completely, then email together with 5 of your photos to [email protected].
2.) Once you have done Step 1, you are now considered an official applicant. Keep in mind that you are not a member yet. We want to stress this : submitting your application form and photos DOES NOT make you a member yet. It only starts your application process. As an official (and acknowledged) applicant, you may now join PhotoMeets and activities (unless they are announced as members-only) and you may also join or vote in our monthly contests.

Should we see enough merit, we will consider you for approval as official member, then we will inform you.
