Focus on TV

Over the past month our group was featured on national TV. Thrice. Got us all excited. And surprised, that our Light Painting PhotoMeet would draw attention.

It started with a wall post on our Facebook page :

Contact info exchanged, interview was scheduled, the next thing we knew was that we were already in front of the camera for AHA!, a Sunday morning show hosted by Drew Arellano. The feature was about light painting and mobile phone photography. You may watch the segment on Youtube below.

Two days after doing the AHA! interview, we got another message, this time in our page's private inbox. A researcher from Saksi (the late-night news show on GMA 7, the same channel as AHA!) also requested an interview. The funny thing is... they also wanted to feature light painting.

After getting consent from AHA! (out of courtesy), the Saksi interview was set the next day. Thus, our group was on TV on back-to-back days. View the clip below :

About a week after the Saksi shoot, we had another inquiry from AHA! via text message, if we had someone who does a lot of shadow photography. Our member Jay Salvador fit the bill, so he got included in another episode (two weeks after the first one). Watch Jay's airtime below (around the 2:00 mark) :

The national TV experience was awesome. We'd like to thank the research team and TV crew of the shows for having us. Hopefully we can do more shoots that would serve interest for many people. Focus Bulacan remains open to any feature that would tackle photography.
