Each anniversary exhibit, Focus members not only take part in showcasing their photos to the public but also putting them to a vote, for the Juror's Choice contest and the People's Choice award. It's pretty simple : a designated guest judge picks his favorite and most compelling photo out of all the exhibit photos to be recognized as Juror's Choice, while the exhibit-going public casts their choices and the votes get tallied to determine the People's Choice. One based purely on the merit of the photo, the other requiring more than that : popularity, persuasion, and some luck. This year, it was another close battle owing to the strength of the exhibit entries. Ultimately, the winners emerged. We'd like to thank all the voters for helping us pick the photos. We revamped the voting process this year to discourage double votes. Stricter mechanics but close to 600 votes were still cast. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR PEOPLE'S CHOICE TOP 5! 5th Place 4th Place 3rd Place 2nd Place 1st Place For the second straight year and third time out of the four Focus Bulacan anniversary exhibits, CHI LOPEZ is our People's Choice winner. Congratulations! Meanwhile, guest of honor and judge Dong Despojo picked the Juror's Choice winner and even awarded the plaque to the winner... none other than ELENA TAEZA. Congratulations! Juror's Choice and People's Choice winners get a special plaque, while People's Choice Top 5 each gets a slot to an exclusive glamour shoot with Marcus Fernandez, a Focus shirt courtesy of Bluprint Studio, a wifi book and a USB card from LIGHT network, and a gift voucher from Hugot Sizzling Hub. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to our friends and sponsors! |
